Welcome
I’m Karen Calpin the artist behind CalpinCreatives, I have always been quite creative, although, in the past, I focused more on studies, I have been called the eternal student, studying, working with students and playing in science education, science, its communication and education. I love the fact that we as humans are always learning something. I have always loved being creative and used my spare time to dabble in many areas of arts and crafts.
From the end of 2017 through a number of circumstances, I found myself redundant, caring for family, grieving and chronically ill. I began focusing on my art more seriously, I have found that this has been really beneficial for my mental health. I love to experiment within my creativity, its just the scientist in me I guess, art allows me ways of expressing myself, channelling my interests, while caring at home.
Feel free to view my art, get in contact if you wish and even better make a purchase.
Thanks for dropping by.
